Our M.Sc. Student Yağmur Balabanlı wrote a project proposal and her project has been accepted by TÜBİTAK with 1005 programme. The brief information about the project is following.

Title of the project: Crystallization of Sucrose with Microwave-Vacuum Method

Short summary: Project offers a technique to perform the crystallization stage of sucrose with a novel microwave-based method i.e. microwave-vacuum crystallization. Aim of this project is to simulate the industrial refining process of sucrose in laboratory by replacing the convectional heating with microwave heating under vacuum and evaluate the potential advantages to complete the laboratory scaled experiments.
